WSC Medicolegal is proud to be involved with the following charities.
The Silverlining Charity (West Midlands)
In the UK every 90 seconds someone is admitted to hospital for an acquired brain injury. They have the potential to impact every aspect of life and, due to the complexities of the brain, every injury and recovery is unique.
The Silverlining Charity is a group of like-minded individuals who aim to improve the quality of life of all those affected by brain injury, encouraging a social support network for the injured, their family members and the wider community. Regular activities are organised to develop and maintain friendships, provide a sense of purpose and add meaning to their lives.
Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance. It’s a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability, although it can occasionally be mild.
Helping People Live With Their MS
Having Multiple Sclerosis can be a scary and isolating thing to deal with by yourself. Since 2009, Shift.ms has been helping bring fellow ‘MSers’ together to share their experiences and support each other. The Charity provides Support, Advice, Stories & More via it’s website and has A Vibrant, Active Community Of ‘MSers’.
Shift.ms is a varied, active community of more than 30,000 members. Thousands of ‘MSers’ ask questions, share advice and help each other make sense of MS.
