Dr Cathy Grant, PhD, DClinPsy, QiCN, Consultant Clinical
Neuropsychologist (Paediatric) and Chartered Clinical Psychologist

Associate Expert Witness

Dr Grant accepts instructions for expert witness and medicolegal reports on the neuropsychological and psychological consequences of acquired brain injuries and other neurological conditions presenting at birth, childhood and adolescence.

Dr Grant has worked as a paediatric neuropsychologist for over ten years.  She has worked within hospital neurological and neurosurgical services and is experienced in conducting neuropsychological assessments and interventions with a range of neurological conditions.  Dr Grant is active in neuropsychological research.  She has published research papers and book chapters on neuropsychological function and outcome.  She regularly collaborates with clinical researchers at the University of Leicester and the University of Glasgow.

Dr Grant is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Leicester where she teaches on the DClinPsy course and the post-qualification neuropsychology CPD course.  She has taught paediatric neuropsychology and neuropsychological assessment on the DClinPsy courses at the Universities of Sheffield, Hull and Royal Holloway, London.

Helen MardonHelen Mardon – DipCot, SROT

Associate Expert Witness (Care)

Helen Mardon is a Neurospecialist Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience.  Helen is highly experienced in working with individuals with complex neurological conditions providing assessment and treatment in their homes or community.  Helen has practised as an independent Occupational Therapist for the last 11 years working with individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury.

Helen has worked as a case manager working with adults and children with complex injuries for 6 years.

Helen is a medicolegal expert witness who has undertaken care and occupational therapy reports for claimants with a variety of injuries including spinal, brain and orthopaedic injuries.  She has gained accredited Expert Witness status through Cardiff University/Bond Solon.

Tom BarclayTom Barclay – BSc (Hons), PG Dip, MCSP, MHCPC

Associate Expert Witness (Care)

Tom Barclay is an experienced Clinical Case Manager with a background in physiotherapy, major trauma, multiple orthopaedic injuries including acquired traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries and amputations.

He currently manages an active caseload of clients with complex needs arising from this type of injury some of whom are either going through a personal injury claim or are post settlement.

Tom also owns/manages a rehabilitation clinic enabling individuals to achieve optimal recovery and independence.

He is a medicolegal Expert Witness who has undertaken care reports for claimants with a variety of injuries including spinal, brain and orthopaedic injuries.

Rhumana MullanRhumana Mullan MSc, BSc (Hons), MRCOT, HCPC

Associate Expert Witness (Occupational Therapy)

Rhumana is a Senior, Specialist Occupational Therapist with an MSc in Occupational Therapy. She is also a qualified Disability Assessor undertaking comprehensive functional assessments and compiling reports with a good knowledge and understanding of physical, cognitive and mental health conditions.

She has over 10 years’ experience working in a variety of settings and is experienced in all aspects of occupational therapy making recommendations for equipment and minor/major adaptations for individuals with disability and long-term health conditions.

Rhumana has undertaken additional training/professional development as an Expert Witness and has compiled reports as an Expert in Care and Occupational Therapy.
